What Cove is, and is not

Cove is a tool for self-reflection and self-directed personal growth. It helps you find the beliefs running underneath your patterns, choose who you want to become, and keep a record of what you tried and what happened.

Cove is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, or a crisis service. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are struggling or in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis line. Our crisis resources page lists services in the UK and the US, and a way to find one in other countries.

Cove is an AI system. When you use it, you are interacting with an AI, and its responses are generated automatically rather than written by a person.

Who can use Cove

You must be 18 or older to use Cove. Cove is not currently available to residents of Washington and Nevada in the United States.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens on your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up.

Your first seeing

Your first seeing is free. No card needed.

Paid subscriptions

If you want to keep using Cove after your first seeing, you subscribe to Cove Pro on a monthly or a yearly plan.

Your subscription starts with a seven-day free trial. A payment card is required. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the price and billing interval shown at checkout until you cancel.

Subscription payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We may change our prices, but we will give you notice before any change affects you.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from settings, which takes you to the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not refund the period that has already started.

This is different from the legal right to cancel described in the next section, which applies for a limited time after you subscribe.

Your legal right to cancel within fourteen days

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel your subscription contract within fourteen days. The fourteen days start on the day after you complete checkout and your trial begins. The free trial does not shorten or remove this right.

To use it, tell us clearly that you are cancelling the contract before the fourteen days end. An email to AZMARKETINGUK@outlook.com is enough. Cancelling your subscription in settings within the fourteen days also counts. You do not need to do both.

If you have been charged before you cancel under this right, we refund that payment. We do so within fourteen days of the day you tell us.

You can use this wording if you like: "I am cancelling my contract for the Cove subscription. Name, email address used for my Cove account, and the date I subscribed."

Nothing in these terms takes this right away or limits your other rights under consumer law.

Acceptable use

Please use Cove for its intended purpose. Do not misuse it, try to break or abuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your content

What you write in Cove is yours. You give us permission to store and process it so we can provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your reflections, and we do not use them to train AI models. Our privacy policy sets out who else processes what you write, and on what terms.

The service is provided as is

We work hard to make Cove useful and reliable, but we provide it as is. We cannot guarantee specific results from using it, that it will always be available, or that it will be error-free. Personal change depends on many things, and Cove is a tool to support that work, not a guarantee of any outcome.

Our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cove is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes that depend on your own circumstances and choices. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Because Cove is not a medical or crisis service, you agree not to rely on it as one.

Ending your use

You can stop using Cove and delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know. Continuing to use Cove after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
