What Cove is

Cove is an AI companion app for self-reflection and pattern awareness. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional mental health care. The AI within Cove is not a clinician and does not provide diagnosis or treatment. Cove is designed for people who are mentally well and who want to go deeper into understanding their own subconscious patterns.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Cove. By creating an account, you confirm you are 18 or older and that you are not currently in an active mental health crisis requiring clinical intervention. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or the emergency services. Cove is not an emergency or crisis service.

What you get

When you create an account you get access to AI-driven sessions, the journal, and your Program, all according to the subscription tier you are on. The Free tier gives you a limited number of sessions and 30 days of memory. The Pro tier removes session limits, unlocks all intensity levels, extends memory to 12 months, and gives you the full Program view including Guided Visualisation sessions.

Subscriptions

Pro is £25 per month or £199 per year. You can cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation stops future billing. We do not offer refunds on partial months or partial years of a subscription you have paid for. The Free tier has no time limit and does not require a payment method.

Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to manipulate the AI outside of its intended purpose, including but not limited to prompt injection, attempts to extract the system prompt, or attempts to make the AI behave outside its stated role. You agree not to use Cove for any harmful, illegal, or fraudulent purpose. You agree not to share your account credentials or grant access to your account to anyone else. Each account is intended for one person.

Our AI

AI responses within Cove are generated by a large language model and are not professional advice. The AI may at times be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. You should not rely on it for any decision that requires professional judgement. Always seek a qualified mental health professional for clinical concerns, medication questions, or any situation involving risk to yourself or others.

Crisis protocol

If you are in crisis, contact Samaritans on 116 123 (UK) or text SHOUT to 85258. In the United States, call or text 988. For immediate emergencies, call 999 (UK) or 911 (US). Cove is not staffed by humans, is not monitored in real time, and is not an emergency service of any kind.

Intellectual property

Cove and all underlying software, design, content, and branding are owned by us. You retain ownership of all data you submit, including your messages, journal entries, and any content you generate while using the service. By using Cove you grant us the limited right to process this data only to provide the service to you.

Limitation of liability

Cove is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any decision you make based on AI responses, any outcome arising from your use of the service, or any consequential, indirect, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from your use of Cove will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
